Mad Max: Fury Road [2015]

Oh my fucking god! After watching this movie, I had to wake up from this coma induced by crappy movies. Before I go on, I just have to address a serious number of crappy movies that came out in the past few months. They were all just so predictable and artificial that I couldn’t even finish them. This is the final stage of the business way of making movies. They think that they have this commercial formula that makes good movies; supposed to make you a lot of money. It’s all gone in the wrong direction, towards a world where movies are products and not works of art. And then came Mad Max: Fury Road and bitchslapped all of those movies. I almost feel bad for all those actors and directors. This is the time when I realize that I’m exaggerating a bit, but the truth is out there…

Let’s start from the beginning: It is the year of lord 1979 and unholy George Miller films his post-apocalyptic masterpiece, exploring different concepts using his environment and imagination as best as he could. Mel Gibson made his name as Max, The Road Warrior in this movie. The next one has a very popular vibe, that dystopian action vibe that we see a lot nowadays. Again sexuality, friendship, and just pure survival are the main themes. Just a fucking clusterfuck of the menagerie of weirdness. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome came out in 1985 featuring Tina Turner as the ruler of the dystopian kingdom. A strong female character with a realistic portrayal of all the fuckedupness of the human race was the hook that we ate up.

And now the time has come. When I first saw that this movie is going to be made, I refused to see any information about it. I wanted to be fucked in the ass in that theater, no lube or nothing. And it was glorious. The 3D was good, but it’s not going to cripple the 2D version of the movie. I will talk now about my rape. They gave me just a brief moment to pull myself together, and then the gang bang started and it lasted for a solid two hours. Two hours that just flew by. I talked about movies with layers and most of the time those layers when they are superimposed work rather well. Most of them have about 60-75 % purity. This one has 97 % purity, bitch. You can watch it as an action movie while thinking about concepts of slavery and human nature, while you’re enjoying metal blasting music. And then the characters punch in from the screen with a story that’s realistic and sharp as a razor. Everything works, without sappy, romantic, Hollywood moments.

Proves that if you think long and hard, you will find a way to put it all together. Let the forces that are here on the Earth, in their true form lead you. Not the other way around, I want that scene where they fall from a helicopter on a train and then work your way back to the characters from that scene… So much text and not much information about the actual movie. That’s because this movie doesn’t need no review to work. It works without that assumption, as Laplace would say. It’s a personal experience that you need to have. Just check it out…

Fun Facts: Instead of the reboot being a remake of Mad Max (1979), revealing how Max Rockantasky became The Road Warrior, George Miller decided that the reboot will take place in the post-apocalyptic Australia, years after the new Max (Tom Hardy) lost his family, because he did not wish to do a remake or retell the story that had already been told and had wanted to update the universe and the wasteland and wanted new moviegoers to remember Max as a man with nothing to lose after losing his family.
