Yep, it’s another reboot of a long forgotten franchise. Since the first three movies did not succeed in their attempts to explain why someone dresses as some weird picture, our old buddy Wes Craven decided to make another slasher movie. So far almost everyone from the previous sequels have confirmed their rolls in this milking session. I must admit there is something relaxing about these movies, you feel pretty comfortable watching them, knowing that there will be no big surprises and that there’s going to be a decent amount of fun. In the spirit of this movie here are some rules for Scream movies and some horror movie rules in general:
Rules of a horror movie (Scream):
1. You can never have sex.
2. You can never drink or do drugs.
3. Never, ever, EVER, under any circumstances say “I’ll be right back”, ’cause 4. you won’t be back.
5. Don’t answer the phone
6. Don’t open the door
7. Don’t try to hide
8. But most of all, don’t scream
Rules of a horror movie sequel (Scream 2)
1. The body count is always bigger.
2. The death scenes are always much more elaborate, with more blood and gore.
Rules of a horror movie trilogy (Scream 3)
1. You’ve got a killer who’s gonna be superhuman. Stabbing him won’t work, shooting him won’t work. Basically in the third one, you gotta cryogenically freeze his head, decapitate him, or blow him up.
2. “Anyone, including the main character, can die.
3. The past will come back to bite you in the ass. Whatever you think you know about the past, forget it. The past is not at rest! Any sins you think were committed in the past are about to break out and destroy you.
The film is scheduled to be released on April 15, 2011.
