I just love these titles, suggesting that there will be a gathering of some sort, and when the people gathering are psychopaths you know that only good things can come out of it (we laughed, we tortured, good times :). Directed by In Bruges director Martin McDonagh, it is going to be a mix of black comedy and action and with an amazing cast this movie is something that you don’t wanna miss. So far only Mickey Rourke dropped out after a fight with a director, but was immediately replaced by Woody Harrelson, and in my opinion this is a much better choice. While good in his early years, Mickey isn’t what this film requires because he has a strong physical appearance, and I think that this is more of a brainy flick. As for the rest of the cast: Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken, Olga Kurylenko and fucking Tom Waits are ready, willing and able. My only regret is that Mr. Brendan Gleeson is not in the mix, but what can you do…
So far these are the characters:
- Marty (Colin Farrell) – A writer trying to finish his script Seven Psychopaths, he just needs a little inspiration and ideas to do this
- Billy ( Sam Rockwell) – Marty’s best friend, a struggling unemployed actor who steals dogs in his free time, willing to do anything for his friends
- Hans ( Christopher Walken) – Billy’s partner in crime, a religious nut with a violent temper
As for the plot, it revolves around a dog-napping gone wrong. I don’t wanna know more than this, because it might spoil the fun, so now we wait…
