Deadgirl [2008]

To the HVCs recommendation I checked out this movie and it turned out to be great. You just have to give it chance. And by that I mean that you endure the first fifteen minutes of pure classic teenage rebel crappness. After that it`s all good, or bad; it depends what do you expect and I hope that your expectations are to see one fucked up flick. With a very real feel, and realistic script (well I do not mean the dead girl, but the decisions of characters). Using one concept with three elements, Trent Haaga generated the rest of the content based them. What are those elements, you will find out if you check out the spoiler section below. Also, you could just check out the movie and then read about spoilers.

Two teenagers after roaming through an abandoned mental asylum (what else would be teenagers be doing) find a girl that cannot die. I will leave the rest of the movie to you, and again this is a  pretty fucked up flick so if you will be upset, good.

Spoilers ahead: 

Male sexual drive, receptacle for that drive and the ability to remain unnaturally alive are those three elements. While this movie can be viewed as extremely sexist, that would not be accurate nor true. We cannot blame the film-makers for exploring the subject that’s so difficult to tackle, especially if you are a bit more emotional. Emotions always cloud judgment and should not be confused with values, a much deeper entity that’s usually used to justify emotional behavior. I used the term receptacle because to that term is a woman reduced when male sexual drive is at its maximum. Everything else is a blur and nowhere can be this seen clearer than in our teenage years. We were willing to do everything in order to fulfill “our destiny”. With the “liberation” of fringe sexual practices and onslaught of sexuality in media, Deadgirl is a movie that should be viewed by everyone…
