Scream 4 [2010]

After the first three Screams here comes the fourth installment in the franchise. The previous sentence sounded like something you would read in some fancy magazine, which sucks and proves that the quality of the reviews varies on the quality of the provided weed. Moving on, after exploiting every possible variation of who-done-it script apparently there was nothing else to do than to make fun of the whole concept. And as the opening scene started, I knew that this is going to be a decent movie, after all, Wes Craven stated that he would do the fourth Scream only if the script was as good as in the first one. I would not go that far, and then again the first one wasn’t that great either. Throughout the movie you can feel the sheer professionalism, talent of the crew and Wes himself, it’s like having sex with a really experienced hooker (not that I have done such a thing wink wink). Everything was present and accounted for: humor, horror, sexy ladies, famous actors, original crew from the previous movies and all those small things that fans of the previous Screams would appreciate. Again without nudity. Throughout the movie you will be wondering who is the killer, and who is next, hoping for a grand finale with a lot of twists and turns in the meantime. As far as the acting and the cast goes, I think that they were really good, Courteney a looks too plastic but I would still do her, and the same goes for Neve (not to mention the youngins).

Sidney Prescott, survivor of the previous attacks of the masked assassin called Ghostface, returns to her home town Woodsboro to promote a new book. And in Woodsboro, things have not changed much, the local legend of the brutal killer still lives and this has become something of a trademark for the town. Dewey Riley is still the local sheriff and he will be in over his head when the killer surfaces again and starts his killing spree. The survivors of the previous massacres will be faced with yet another struggle to survive and to protect their loved ones from the unknown person wearing a mask. Who will be the next victim and who is the killer of them all is the question that you will find answer to at the end of the movie. So relax and get ready to scream (another fancy magazine reference).
